Shower for Mary—May 2024

Bring your gifts to the church from May 4th/5th to May 25th/26th

Your items benefit Birthright of Lorain County, so it can persevere in supporting pregnant women, and young mothers and their children.

Money gifts can be put in the collection basket marked “Birthright” with checks made out to St. Teresa Church (memo: Shower for Mary or Birthright)

Items needed:

Onesies 0-9 months PJ’s (winter/summer) 0-9 months; Outfits 0-9 months; Sleep Sacs 0-9 months; Receiving Blankets; Baby Wipes—packages of 75-100 count; Diapers size 4-7 Burp Cloths; Baby Wash Cloths and Towels

Spiritual Adoption of the Unborn

Join us once again as we begin another 9 months of praying for the unborn from March 25th – December 25th, 2024. Please pray everyday:

Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much.  I beg you to spare the life of the unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion.” Prayer of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen

Mother Cabrini Food Pantry

Our next non-perishable food only collection will be June 1 & 2, 2024.

Thank you to everyone who donated in May!! Suggested Donations: cereal, rice, boxed stuffing, spaghetti, taco kits, boxed mashed potatoes, pancake syrup, peanut butter/jelly, Ramen noodle soup, canned soup, canned vegetables, canned fruit, tuna fish, coffee, hominy beans, Hispanic foods, bottled water, and cooking oil. No non-food items can be taken. Non-perishable food only (unopened/unused).

We are looking for parishioners who would like to be a member of the Social Concerns Committee.

We support several different ministries in our local community including Lorain County Birthright, St. Joe’s Homeless Shelter, Blessing House, and St. Frances’ Mother Cabrini Food Pantry to name a few.  Call the church office for the date and location of our next meeting.
